Winter is a lovely time with lots of celebrations, but we still need to think about how to stay safe.

Remember…
Have working smoke alarms
If there is a fire: Get out, Stay out, Call 999.
If you are staying away from home, make sure you know the escape plan.
Ask grown-ups to check the lights are safe.
Never play with the lights.
Don’t hang stockings, cards or other items which could catch fire over the fireplace. Put them away from flames.
Never play with matches, lighters or candles. If possible, use battery operated candles.
