Description: Swindon - At 5.47pm this evening, Control received a call to a takeaway restaurant with a deep fat fryer on fire. Crews from Stratton and Swindon were mobilised to the incident, however after the arrival of the first crew from Stratton, it was deemed that the oncoming crews were not required. The crews extinguished the fires using two Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishers and then did a full inspection of the building to ensure it was safe. To do so, the crew used a Thermal Imaging Camera, a Triple Extension Ladder and a Positive Pressure Ventilation Fan to clear the light smoke logging. Before leaving the incident, crews gave advice to the owner, to ensure they continue to stay safe.
