Asbestos

Under Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, if you own, occupy, manage or have responsibilities for non-domestic premises, which may contain asbestos, you will either have a:

The emergency services need to be aware that Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) are in the premises so they can take the appropriate precautions in an emergency.

As a duty holder, you will be required to make a written record of the location and condition of asbestos or presumed ACMs and keep the record up to date, as well as prepare a plan to manage any risk (a copy of this information will be required by Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service).
