At the initial stage of the recruitment process, we will ask you to sit online tests. These include a Situational Judgement Test and Behavioural Style Questionnaire, which will be completed online at home. Please use the links to find out more about what these tests involve.
All successful applicants will receive full and comprehensive training.
Those entering the Wholetime Duty System will be enrolled on an apprenticeship scheme, which is achieved through workplace experience. Please be aware that there is a requirement to gain key functional skills in Maths and English as part of the apprenticeship if this is not already evidenced through qualifications.
If you cannot provide evidence, your application can be progressed by sitting our online tests in English, Maths and Mechanical. It also holds a short example test for each of the three areas, so you can familiarise yourself with the online format and content.
If you already have GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths (A*-C or 9-4) or any form of degree, you will not need to sit these tests. You will be asked to provide evidence of qualifications obtained.
Candidates will be re-tested on the initial online ability test(s) completed at the beginning of the process, to verify that they were completed without assistance. This is done on the same day as the fitness testing and practical assessment.
