Upper Key Stage 2 teachers

Every Year 5 class will be offered a visit by an education officer. If you have not heard from us, please complete this form.

The upper Key Stage 2 resources are under the banner of Think Firefighter, empowering children with the responsibility to ‘think firefighter’ and influence their actions appropriately.

The lesson in school is a 60 minute ‘fire investigation’, after having had some training in fire investigation, the children work in groups to undertake their first investigation, reporting their findings and safety recommendations to the class.

Following this lesson, you are welcome to undertake further investigations with the class.

Coming soon will be activities based around the lesson, which you can use for English, maths, reasoning skills etc.

If you wish to use firefighters as an inspiration for fitness,  please use our ‘meet the firefighter’ videos.
