We are so proud of the work our volunteers do with all of our youth initiatives.
We have Fire Cadet units based throughout the Service, all supported by volunteers. These units are led by operational firefighters, giving the young people an insight into the training they go through. The cadets attend a weekly meeting where they take part in exercises, raise money for charity, gain a BTEC qualification and learn practical firefighting skills.
You will be assisting the operational firefighters by using the actual equipment and tools carried on the fire engines. The course ends with a pass out parade attended by family, friends and local dignitaries. Our volunteers support all aspects of the course.
